ROTEC ski trip to Zugspitze: team event with workshops and summit experiences.
The annual ROTEC ski trip “ROTEC & Friends” took place on the Zugspitze from February 13 to 16, 2025. Both ROTEC employees and long-standing partners participated. This year, Jörg Wilke, Managing Director of the Ettelsberg Cable Car and President of the German Summer Mountain Railways, traveled with our team to the Schneefernerhaus.
Professional exchange and team building in a unique environment
The first two days were dedicated to intensive workshops. Current developments, new technologies, and the future of magnetic rope testing were discussed. This professional exchange yielded valuable insights and strengthened the team.
But such an event thrives not just on theory, but also on building team spirit. Therefore, two days on the slopes followed – bright sunshine and perfect conditions ensured plenty of fun. Just like the conversations in the snow, the shared experiences also fostered a sense of togetherness.
Unique highlights on the Zugspitze
In addition to the technical and sporting aspects, there were numerous other highlights:
- Exclusive overnight stay at the Schneefernerhaus environmental research station – a special experience that impressed us.
- A cozy cheese fondue evening in the igloo village – a culinary and atmospheric delight.
- Visit to the highest lattice mast support in the world (128 m) – here we carried out an update to our vibration measurement system.
- Guided tour of the environmental research station – exciting insights that gave us a practical insight into important environmental research.
