Rope testing in Utah – 57 installations in just 10 days.
The ROTEC team was once again deployed in the USA, amidst breathtaking nature and perfect weather.
Our colleague Sebastian traveled to Utah to test a large number of cable cars using the magnetic induction method – a total of 57 systems in just ten days.
Together with WIRE ROPE SERVICE, INC.
Sebastian supported Jorg Tonett, the owner of our American partner WIRE ROPE SERVICE, INC., on site.
The collaboration with the California-based company has existed for many years – and this project was once again absolutely smooth and trusting.
Precise inspections in well-known winter sports areas
The missions took place in some of the most famous winter sports regions in the United States. Cable cars in Park City, Snowbird, Sundance, and Deer Valley were tested, among others.
The test was carried out using the proven ROPESYS rope testing devices – as always, fast, reliable and precise.
Technology in use for maximum safety
Using high-resolution sensors, the testing device detects even the smallest irregularities inside the rope. The rope is magnetized and analyzed in full using 50 channels. Data transmission is wireless, and the analysis can be performed directly on a laptop.
Thanks to this technology, critical areas can be identified early – before problems arise.
Strong partnerships – in use worldwide
The successful deployment in Utah demonstrates once again how important strong international partnerships are for our work.
Only through good cooperation on site is it possible to carry out so many tests reliably and efficiently in a short time.
Security knows no boundaries
Whether in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia or America: ROPESYS rope testing devices are used worldwide – wherever the highest safety standards are required.
Because safety knows no boundaries – and begins with a precise rope inspection.
ROTEC – we make ropes safe.
