Adventure, technology and safety – they all come together in the Harz Mountains. Our colleague Lars was on assignment for ROTEC to carry out a magnetic-inductive rope inspection on the well-known Harzdrenalin zipline.

Our ROPESYS rope testing device was used to precisely inspect the suspension cable of the system in order to permanently guarantee the operational safety of the spectacular zip line.

Safely across the abyss

The Harzdrenalin zipline in the Rappbode valley is one of the most famous leisure facilities in Germany.
Visitors fly at dizzying heights over the valley at speeds of up to 85 kilometers per hour – an experience that guarantees thrills.

But for the adventure to remain trouble-free, the ropes must be in perfect condition. This is where ROTEC comes in.

Precise technology for maximum safety.

In magnetic inductive rope testing, ropes are examined with special sensors to detect even the smallest internal damage at an early stage. This allows wear, corrosion, or wire breaks to be detected in a timely manner.

Our ROPESYS rope testing device measures the condition of the rope precisely and delivers immediately evaluable results. This allows operators to plan targeted maintenance measures before safety-related problems arise.

Regular inspections are mandatory.

Cable cars, ziplines, and other rope-based systems are subject to strict safety requirements. Therefore, they are regularly inspected. ROTEC carries out these inspections worldwide – whether on cable cars, crane systems, or even on a spectacular zipline like the one in the Harz Mountains.

Thanks to our experience and state-of-the-art testing technology, we can reliably guarantee the safety of such systems.

The fascination of technology and nature

The combination of technical precision and breathtaking scenery made this assignment a special experience. While the Harz mountains lay in the background, our rope testing device in the foreground ensured safety at height.

This shows that high-tech and nature can go together perfectly.

Conclusion

The magnetic inductive rope inspection of the zipline in the Harz mountains illustrates how important regular inspections are for the safe operation of recreational facilities.

ROTEC and ROPESYS stand for tested quality, state-of-the-art technology and responsibility – wherever people and ropes come together.

ROTEC – we make ropes safe.
