Disney Skyliner \u2013 ROPESYS in use on one of the world’s largest cable car systems.<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

After the Christmas holidays, ROTEC <\/strong>and ROPESYS<\/a> started the year 2026 with full energy. While all machines were restarting in development and production, international customer appointments were also on the agenda.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the year, Dr. Martin Wehr <\/a>travelled to the USA <\/strong>to support several clients and projects on site.<\/p>\n

A particular focus was placed on the Disney Skyliner<\/a> at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.<\/a><\/p>\n

Disney Skyliner rope testing with ROPESYS rope testing devices<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The Disney Skyliner <\/a>cable car system is a central component of transportation at Walt Disney World Resort.<\/a><\/p>\n

With almost 300 Omega IV 10-berth cabins, the system connects, among others, Epcot, the Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach, Hollywood Studios and Pop Century.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Since many millions of passengers are transported annually, the safety and availability of the system plays a crucial role.<\/p>\n

To ensure this permanently, ROPESYS rope testing devices <\/a>are used on all three lines.<\/p>\n

This eliminates the need for complex, expensive and time-consuming shipping routes to the manufacturer or external parties.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the testing equipment is available to the teams without restriction at all times. Since no shipping is required, the risk of transport damage or loss is also completely eliminated. <\/p>\n

During the trip, Dr. Martin Wehr<\/strong> also visited Knight Equipment Co. in Missouri.<\/a><\/p>\n

Justin Knight and his team<\/strong> have specialized in splicing and testing cableways throughout the USA for many years. They consistently rely on ROPESYS rope testing equipment <\/a>and have the full range of machine sizes available on site. <\/p>\n
