The goal was to gain practical insights into artificial intelligence (AI) through an innovative escape room. Rope inspection plays a central role, as AI has the potential to revolutionize inspection processes. Additionally, this visit served as a team event that not only strengthened cohesion within the ROTEC team but also encouraged collective engagement with new technologies.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>ROTEC and the research project on fiber ropes<\/strong><br \/>ROTEC is collaborating with the DITF on an exciting research project focused on fiber ropes. These ropes are equipped with sensors that monitor the condition of the ropes in real-time. The project is of great importance to ROTEC, as it opens up new perspectives for the future of rope inspection. Furthermore, it could play a crucial role in the safety of cable cars and other load-bearing systems in the future.   <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>Insight into the AI escape room<\/strong><br \/>In the AI escape room at DITF, a scenario set in 2083 was recreated. A solar storm had crippled the &#8220;World Weather Center,&#8221; and the ROTEC employees had to restore the systems within 45 minutes to prevent global natural disasters. During this experience, they learned how AI-based solutions can contribute to solving real-world problems by making quick decisions and minimizing risks.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>Why AI is crucial for ROTEC<\/strong><br \/>AI is particularly important for ROTEC as it helps optimize rope inspection. It enables more efficient monitoring of ropes and early detection of issues. Additionally, ROTEC is working on innovative solutions, such as fiber ropes with sensors. These sensors continuously monitor the condition of the ropes and provide valuable data. This could make rope inspection not only safer but also more cost-effective. However, regulatory hurdles still need to be overcome before AI can be integrated into safety-critical decision-making.     <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>Learning through experience in the escape room<\/strong><br \/>The visit to the AI escape room was not only an exciting outing but also a valuable experience for all participants. By solving puzzles together in small teams, the employees not only learned about AI but also strengthened their team spirit. Both collaboration and understanding of the technology were significantly improved through this hands-on approach. Furthermore, the insights gained can be directly integrated into future projects at ROTEC.   <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>Conclusion: AI and team building at ROTEC<\/strong><br \/>The visit to the AI escape room was a great success. ROTEC CEO Sven Winter said, &#8220;Everyone talks about AI, but few truly understand what it can do.&#8221; This outing not only raised awareness among the employees about the importance of AI but also strengthened team cohesion.
