An 850-meter-long cable car is being built for the famous flower and garden exhibition in Almere, the Netherlands. It will connect the southern and northern parts of Floriade Expo 2022 across the A6 highway at a height of 35 meters.
During the five-minute ride, exhibition visitors can view the Floriade with its trees, shrubs and flower fields from an unusual perspective. In addition, the cable car will provide an opportunity to experience the potential of urban cable cars. “The cable car will be an attraction for Floriade guests. It will make it possible to cross the Floriade site, which covers more than 60 hectares, and the A6 in a very short time, while enjoying the landscape architecture at leisure. This means of transport will also allow us to optimally distribute the flow of visitors to the Floriade site. The cable car is a very attractive and comfortable means of transport”, explains Sven Stimac, Chief Operating Officer at the Floriade.
ROTEC GmbH is pleased to be part of this outstanding project.
